Sport Councillor, Víctor Ferrández, has informed that this month several visits from international sport clubs were registered in Torrevieja. Although January is not a very demanding month 'Torrevieja is slowly winning the position of an attractive location for sport tourism', said Ferrández.

The councillor has assured that 'even though January has never been an important month for sport tourism, in the last few years the work done has started to be productive and now we got the proof'. Also, he predicted that February is going to be 'a strong month' bearing in mind that 450 athlets are expected to visit Torrevieja due to sport holidays and football, handball and swimming pre-seasons.
