The University of Alicante offers the first course on AI applied to healthcare management at the new inter-university headquarters in Torrevieja
The UA creates the GESTAS Classroom, the permanent classroom of health management and technology applied to health, based on the needs detected in a consultative process in the University Hospital of Torrevieja, the Quirónsalud Hospital of Torrevieja, as well as the Torrevieja City Council which integrates among its staff, professionals of Nursing, Psychology and Social Work, among other areas of action in the health field.
Among the various activities planned by the GESTAS Classroom, it launches the course " Artificial Intelligence applied to health management " whose main objective is to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to decision-making related to problems that arise at all levels of health management.
This is a practical university training, applicable to real environments in Hospitals, Primary Care and Social Health Centers as well as in the non-health public administration, taught by expert university professors of Computer Engineering and Health as well as professionals from the sector, in a hybrid format (face-to-face at the UA Headquarters in Torrevieja and online ), aimed at higher graduate students professional groups (A1 and A2) and which will accredit, to those who pass it, 40 hours of university training and 4 ECTS credits.
The course is an initiative organized by the University of Alicante through the UA headquarters in Torrevieja.
Among the main advantages of the course, it is worth noting that this program provides training with a hybrid of health and technological knowledge, with an eminently practical approach with personalized tutoring, which teaches the real use of AI, not theoretical, with direct applicability of content to real cases and transferable both to the health field and to the public administration at different levels of management, as well as private health initiatives.
The course will take place between October 20 and November 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday sessions will be in person and will be held at the UA Torrevieja campus, located in the AGAMED-Interuniversity Headquarters building, while Thursday sessions will be held online and synchronously.
