The base tender budget for the works amounts to 8,463,183.22 euros, with a completion period of 9 months, and includes action along 1,247 linear meters of the cantilevered promenade.

The Local Government Board of the Torrevieja City Council has today approved the contracting file for the resurfacing and repair works of the Levante Dam. On this occasion, the tender will be carried out through an open contracting procedure, subject to harmonized regulation. This is an important work, which has a part financed with funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the European Union (NextGenerationEU).

The base tender budget for the comprehensive repair works of the Levante Dam amounts to 8,463,183.22 euros (VAT included), with the execution period being 9 months, counting from the date of signing the Replanning Act. the works.

The new bidding process occurs after an error was detected in the technical evaluation of one of the offers presented and which made it unfeasible to continue with the procedure that was being instructed via Framework Agreement. By opening the new bidding period, a period of 35 calendar days is opened starting from the sending of the bidding notice to the Official Journal of the European Union (DOVE).

The project is proposed based on an accessibility study, thus justifying compliance with the regulations of the elements that will make up the resurfacing and repair of the Levante Dam, in such a way that it can be used by all citizens, to guarantee equality of opportunities for all citizens and their active participation in society.

The works will take place along 1,247 linear meters and for the selection of all the conditions involved in the composition of the repair, various studies were carried out in order to find a project that is as congruent as possible to the current needs, giving rise to the following solutions:

➢ PAVEMENTS

It was decided to remove all the existing cobblestones and wood. It is opted

by laying a continuous floor of technological wood, in tones

➢ RAILINGS

It was decided to use stainless steel as the material for the railings.

➢ COMPOSITION OF THE SPACE

The solution consisting of replacing the boom with a bench with a high-performance concrete finish with a machined polished finish, a shiny and pore-free finish similar to the polished texture of granite or marble stone, with its back to the sea, that is, continuing with the current philosophy of the promenade, with the exception of opening in different sections, free spaces with railings open towards the sea.

➢ TREATMENT OF THE DIKE WALL

It was decided to carry out an intense blasting process, eliminating traces of paint,

a subsequent colorless chemical fixation, which in turn protects with an anti-graffiti treatment.

Finally, it should be noted that the repaving and repair project for the Levante Dock contemplates the connection with the port's actions through an elevated platform that will link the dock itself with the leisure area, as well as the renewal of the existing public lighting in the parallel road to increase, even more so, the value of one of the most representative infrastructures of the city of Torrevieja, such as the Levante Dam.
