Presentation on the Laguna Rosa at the 47th World Congress of Medical Hydrology and Climatology

On Thursday, May 23, Dr. Jose Manuel Carbajo will dedicate his presentation at the 47th World Congress of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology (ISMH), which will be held between May 23 and 25, to the topic Climate, mineral water and peloid of the Laguna Rosa de Torrevieja (Alicante-Spain) and its potential use in thalassotherapy. The presentation is part of the scientific conference Medical Hydrology in Spain, one of those that make up the 47th ISMH congress.

Dr. Carvajo collaborated with the Research Group of the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University in the preparation of a work in 2021 on therapeutic uses of brine and peloids from the Laguna Rosa de Torrevieja. The report establishes that the brine from La Laguna Rosa de Torrevieja has cosmetic and dermatological properties that can be used, either as a thalassohydric factor in a Thalassotherapy center, or as raw material for the production of cosmetics and dermatological preparations. He also stated that the possible peloid or saline slime could have excellent cosmetic and dermatological properties and that, from the point of view of thermotherapy, it would have therapeutic utility in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and in dermatology.

The speaker intends to soon publish an article on the same topic in an impact magazine, a circumstance that this portal will try to collect.
