The works for the adaptation of the premises on the corner of Clemente Gosálvez and Caballero de Rodas streets, intended for municipal offices, are now out to tender.
The Local Government Board of Torrevieja City Council approved this morning the tender for the renovation of the 180-square-meter ground-floor space located at 26 Clemente Gosálvez Street, on the corner of Caballero de Rodas Street, to be used as municipal offices.
The base tender budget for this contract is €224,070 (VAT included), with a three-month execution period, which will begin upon signing the Staking Out Certificate. No extensions are contemplated as this is a construction project.
The renovation work on the premises includes central air conditioning, plumbing and electrical work, construction of bathrooms and offices, and the creation of 40 m2 of storage space in the dividing wall, providing a capacity for 20 municipal staff positions.
IMPROVE CITIZEN SERVICE
The recent expansion of municipal services requires strengthening human and material resources to launch and develop the necessary departments. Currently, Torrevieja City Council does not have a suitable building to house all municipal staff and provide all municipal services from a single location. The City Hall, located in Plaza de la Constitución, is where most administrative and citizen service functions are carried out.
Finally, in addition to its convenient location, it has a large, adaptable, open-plan space that allows for flexibility when carrying out the necessary adaptation work to comply with current safety, accessibility, and technical adaptation regulations for the development of administrative activities. It is essential that the premises allow for the provision of specific areas for customer service, administrative work, and document archiving in accordance with privacy and document security requirements, aspects that the current facilities cannot meet due to their maximum occupancy.
