The Director General of Traffic, Pere Navarro, has written to the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, to request the collaboration of the Local Police in a study of the prevalence of the consumption of psychoactive substances and alcohol in vehicle drivers.

The Torrevieja City Council has already acquired the autonomous coffin lifting platform, which was awarded to the Zaragoza company MARCO TALLER CERRAJERÍA SL, for a global amount of 27,588 euros (VAT included).

The Torrevieja City Council, through its Department of Cemeteries, has prepared a special operation on the occasion of the celebration of the All Saints Day Festival (November 1), which includes a free bus service to transfer citizens to the Municipal Cemetery, with different stops, and which will begin next Saturday, October 30, and will end on Monday, November 1.

On the occasion of the celebration on October 2, Day of the Guardian Angel, Patron of the Local Police, at 10:00 am the solemn celebration of the Eucharist will take place in the Arciprestal de la Inmaculada temple. During the event, an offering will be held in memory of the deceased of the Corps, with the assistance of the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón.

The mayor has informed that the acquisition of these four vans is included in the lease for a period of four years of a total of 17 vehicles (12 vehicles and 5 vans), fully equipped with the latest technologies in safety and efficiency. The contract for the 17 vehicles has involved a municipal investment of 702,000 euros, divided into four years, being about 175,000 euros per year with VAT included.
