The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the deputy mayor of the City Council, Rosario Martínez, have received and welcomed the 13 new workers who have taken office today and who have been hired through the EMCORP 2021 insertion program, subsidized by LABORA , to provide them with a work experience that improves their employability.

The Councilor for Employment and Training, Domingo Paredes, has announced that the ADL continues to bet on training the unemployed with programs where culture is positioned as a dynamic axis, continuing the objective of improving employability and facilitating the labor insertion of people participants, with special consideration to vulnerable people and groups who suffer greater difficulty or discrimination in access to employment.

The Mixed Company Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo (AGAMED), has reported on the evolution of water consumption in the city of Torrevieja in the period between June and July 2021, compared to the consumption of 2020 and 2019.

In short, 13 new plovers were born in the "Molino del Agua" Municipal Natural Area during 2021.

In recent years loggerhead turtles have chosen the beaches of the Valencian Community up to 8 times to lay their eggs, one of them, in the summer of 2015, in Torrevieja. But the attempts have been many more. For example, only in the Maritime District of Torrevieja that ranges from the mouth of the Segura river to El Mojón (municipal terms of Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, Orihuela and Pilar de la Horadada), the attempts have been a total of 6, having reached to locate, in the summer of 2018, a newborn turtle. Two of these attempts occurred last year 2020 on the Orihuela coast, although neither of them were successful.
