Water consumption in June and July increased by 4.33% compared to the same period in 2020

The Mixed Company Aguas del Arco Mediterráneo (AGAMED), has reported on the evolution of water consumption in the city of Torrevieja in the period between June and July 2021, compared to the consumption of 2020 and 2019.

The data provided by AGAMED have been the following:

June and July 2021: 1,806,473 m3

June and July 2020: 1,731,461 m3

June and July 2019: 2,039,614 m3

It should be noted from these data that the June-July 2020 period, compared to 2019 (before the pandemic began), experienced a decrease of 15.11%.

However, consumption for the period June-July 2021, compared to 2020, has experienced an increase of 4.33%. A fairly positive figure, despite the fact that this increase does not mean that Torrevieja has recovered the types of water consumption in 2019, since they are still below 2019 by 11.43%.
