Aid and Subsidies

The ultimate goal of this municipal employment programme is to promote employment among its citizens and to stimulate the local economy. This is not a question of access to public employment, but rather of promoting and stimulating employment.

Through it, a total of 27 unemployed people will be offered a one-year contract period, during which we aim to improve the employability of job seekers, particularly young people and the long-term unemployed, by improving the professional skills of the programme participants through the execution of works and services of general interest.

This programme is aimed at unemployed people who are registered as job seekers at the Espai Labora Centre in Torrevieja, on the date of publication of the programme announcement, and who meet the other requirements established in the sixth base.

The purpose of this call for applications is to regulate the granting of subsidies, on a competitive basis, to finance projects and activities carried out during the past financial year 2024 by associations and entities that are registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations and Other Citizen Entities of the Torrevieja City Council, within the scope of Citizen Participation, for the promotion of citizen participation and as well as actions that encourage the coexistence and integration of citizens in the sociocultural life of the population, as well as to collaborate in the operating/maintenance expenses of said entities.

The specific objectives of this call are:

· Strengthen the social and neighborhood fabric of the city.

· Promote the revitalization of the city's collective life and the relationship between neighbors.

· Promote joint work between associations and between these and institutions and citizens.

· Promote citizen integration and participation at the local level.

· Promote actions that foster coexistence and integration of citizens in the sociocultural life of the population.

· Support the work carried out over the past year by associations and other entities in Torrevieja within the scope of Citizen Participation.

The main purpose of this call is to strengthen and consolidate the associative movement by encouraging the development of activities by different entities and citizen associations in order to promote citizen participation.

The procedure for granting subsidies referred to in this call will be that of competitive concurrence, in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Strategic Plan for Subsidies and the General Ordinance Regulating the Granting of Subsidies of this City Council, without prejudice to the provisions of the second paragraph of art. 55.1 RLGS.

Associations and Entities that have carried out any of the activities or actions included in the purpose of this call and meet the requirements established in Section 4 of the call's bases will be considered beneficiaries.

The maximum grant to be awarded per entity is 6,000 euros . Consequently, it is established that the entity may not request a grant for a higher amount, either exclusively for expenses directly related to the performance of actions and activities, or by adding to the previous expenses those corresponding to the operation and maintenance of the headquarters. If an amount exceeding the established limit is requested, the Technical Evaluation and Assessment Commission will consider the limit established in this Call as the requested amount.

The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty working days , counting from the date of its opening. The opening of said period will take place the day after the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante.

The Governing Board of the Excma. Provincial Council of Alicante, in an ordinary session on May 8, 2024, has agreed to grant the Torrevieja City Council aid for the operation of the municipal rhythmic gymnastics school for the 2023/2024 season in the amount of 6,772.08 euros.

The " EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP "VIDES DE LA MATA BARCO DE SAL " project presented by the Torrevieja City Council proposes a training action that has culture as the dynamic axis of the fight against discrimination and will include the implementation of two professional certificates .

• Auxiliary operations of administrative and general services (ADGG0408).
• Administrative activities in the relationship with the client (ADGG0208).

These programs are configured as mixed employment and training programs, which, promoted mainly by local entities, aim to increase the employability of unemployed people or people with precarious employment registered in public employment services as job seekers, with the aim of facilitating their insertion. labor, combining training with employment, by carrying out training actions in alternation with the execution of works or the provision of services of public utility or social interest, giving priority to projects of an innovative nature, taking into account their impact on new sources of employment .

The actions of this program are susceptible to being co-financed by the European Social Fund.

Participation will be formalized through the ELECTRONIC OFFICE of the Torrevieja City Council through a specific procedure . Interested parties are asked to carefully read the bases to determine the annexes and other documentation that must be accompanied with the application.

Single payment aid to vulnerable groups due to age and with limited economic resources. 2024 annuity

The Torrevieja City Council, by decree of November 23, 2023, granted the entity ADIEM SENTIT FUNDACIÓN COMUNITAT VALENCIANA a nominative subsidy in the amount of 100,000 euros to promote a project whose general objective is to help develop individualized and comprehensive recovery processes that favor the acquisition and recovery of the personal and social skills and competencies of people with disabilities due to serious mental illness, from person-centered planning work and promoting their decision-making capacity and management of their personal life, promoting the empowerment of people , through collaboration in the new construction of a Day Center for people with serious mental health problems, with 30 places, in the municipality of Torrevieja.
