In compliance with the provisions of the Twelfth Base, sections 2, 3 and 4 of which govern the call, the distribution of subsidies approved by the Plenary Agreement of the Excma is published. Provincial Council of Alicante adopted in an ordinary session held on September 13, 2023, where the “Resolution of the call for the granting of subsidies to City Councils with the aim of minimizing the economic impact that the crisis is having on SMEs, microSMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals from their municipalities in the context of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Annuity 2023”

The Excma Provincial Council of Alicante grants Torrevieja the amount of €694,387.00 , which represents 100% of the subsidy.

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón Sánchez, and the Councilor for Public Works, Local Development and Entrepreneurship, Domingo Paredes Ibáñez, have welcomed 28 unemployed people registered in the Espai Labora centers of the Generalitat, who will begin to work in different areas and offices of the Torrevieja City Council, for a period of 12 months and full time.

To carry out this contract, the Torrevieja City Council has received from LABORA the Valencian Employment and Training Service a subsidy in the amount of 570,831.72 euros.

Granted within the EXPLUS-2023 Program , and whose purpose is the granting of incentives for the hiring of unemployed people of at least 30 years of age, the Torrevieja City Council carries out 28 hirings in the following occupations:
-1 Lawyer.
-1 Psychologist.
-4 Social workers.
-1 Senior Social Integration Technician.
-2 Senior accounting and finance technicians.
-7 Administrative employees.
-2 Bathers-Lifeguards.
-4 Janitors.
-6 maintenance workers.

Project susceptible to co-financing by the European Social Fund Plus 2021-2027 or any other fund of the European Union.

With these hires it is confirmed, for yet another year, that employment is and will continue to be a priority for this City Council. Likewise, it is important to value these employment programs that manage, on the one hand, to provide access to the labor market and, on the other hand, provide the Local Administration with important collaboration to meet all social demands.

-1 Social educator.
-1 Technician in microcomputer systems and networks.
-2 Senior Social Integration Technicians.
-6 Social workers.
-5 Administrative employees.

Likewise, this Program is susceptible to co-financing by the European Social Fund Plus 2021-2027 (ESF+) of the Valencian Community , or any other European Union fund.

The Department of Promotion, Employment and Local Development of the Torrevieja City Council announces the thirteenth edition of the Torrevieja Young Entrepreneurs Awards 2023.
Given that one of the objectives of public administrations within their active employment policies is to promote and create an adequate framework for the creation of new companies while reducing unemployment rates, initiatives like this are absolutely necessary to encourage our young entrepreneurs

The announcement of the prizes has as specific objectives: to promote entrepreneurship among Torrevieja society; promote the cooperative and social economy; promote the social recognition of entrepreneurs; promote a positive image of the entrepreneur as a generator of wealth and employment; promote innovation as a competitive strategy of the company, as well as the creation of companies and services related to the tourism sector, local commerce, new technologies, conservation and rehabilitation of buildings, environment, sports, leisure and free time; reward people with entrepreneurial initiative who have launched a new business; and provide support and support to entrepreneurs who have started their business, so that it serves as a stimulus for the creation of new companies and new jobs in the field of the economy of the municipality of Torrevieja.

The purpose of these Bases is to establish the rules that will govern the XIV COMPETITION "YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS AWARD 2023" , convened by the Hon. Torrevieja City Council through its Delegate Department of Public Works, Employment and Local Development under a competitive bidding regime.

The prizes and amounts included in the call are considerable. The following prizes and amounts are established:

• First prize: 7,000 euros
• Second prize: 3,500 euros
• Third prize: 1,500 euros.

Legally constituted natural or legal persons who meet the following requirements may participate in this contest:

In the case of natural persons (individual entrepreneur and entrepreneur of
limited liability):
- Be registered in the municipality of Torrevieja.
- Be a maximum of 35 years old as of September 18, 2023 (date on which the submission period for this contest ends).

In the case of for-profit legal persons:
- Have its fiscal and social domicile in the municipality of Torrevieja.
- At least half of the people who constitute it must be a maximum of 35 years old as of September 18, 2023 (date on which
the deadline for submitting to this contest ends), and these are the ones that are in possession of at least 51% of the company's share capital.

Projects may be submitted, understood as companies that are legally constituted between 09/01/2022 and 08/31/2023.

The period for submitting applications will open the day after the publication in the BOP of Alicante of the extract from the call for the "Young Entrepreneurs Award 2023" contest and will end on September 18, 2023.

The application for participation together with the rest of the documentation will be submitted electronically through the electronic headquarters of the Torrevieja City Council.

On July 10, 2023, the Local Government Board and by Delegation of the latter to the Councilor for Economy and Finance has approved the call for the granting of subsidies to Sports Clubs of Torrevieja for the year 2023.

The purpose of this public call is to regulate the granting of subsidies, under a competitive bidding regime, to support the development of social action programs carried out by non-profit entities, in the Municipality of Torrevieja in the year 2023, in any of its aspects, preventive, assistance, promotional or rehabilitative, in the fields of action contemplated in base III.

The maximum subsidy to be awarded per project and Entity is €90,000.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante.

The Governing Council of the Provincial Tourism Board of the Costa Blanca agreed on June 21, 2023 to grant the Torrevieja City Council a subsidy for the promotion of sports tourism of 5,600 euros and thus be able to cover the costs of merchandising of sports tourism activities. in the town.

The Governing Board of the Hon. Provincial Council of Alicante, in an ordinary session on May 22, 2023, has agreed to grant the Torrevieja City Council a grant for the operation of the municipal rhythmic gymnastics school for the 2022/2023 season in the amount of 7,974.32 euros.

By Decree of the Sports Deputy no. 2014, dated May 11, 2023, has arranged to grant the Torrevieja City Council aid for the acquisition of trophies and medals for various sports activities in the 2023 season for an amount of 1,015.38 euros.
