New line of aid for SMEs, micro-SMEs and the self-employed to minimize the economic and social impact of the current energy crisis

The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 business days, from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP, publication that is expected for the fourth week of September (from September 19 to 23).

The Councilor for Economy and Finance of the City Council of Torrevieja, Domingo Paredes, informs that, shortly, a new line of aid for SMEs, micro-SMEs and the self-employed will be launched, in order to minimize the economic and social impact that this unexpected energy crisis is assuming on these groups.

The amount destined to meet these subsidies amounts to a total amount of €313,716.00 , funds coming entirely (100%) from the Hon. Provincial Council of Alicante, by virtue of the economic aid granted to this City Council in the form of a direct subsidy.

In the aforementioned line, up to 50% of the concepts of current expenses for electricity, gas and fuel will be eligible, paid in the following periods:

  • Electric power. In the period between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
  • Gas. In the period between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
  • Fuels. In the period between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022.

Expenses must be justified by means of invoices or documents of equivalent probative value in commercial traffic and with proof of payment.

These aids will be granted directly for reasons of public, economic and social interest, given the unexpected situation of energy crisis in which we find ourselves, those applications that meet all the requirements and documentation required in the call will be admitted.

The maximum aid to be received may reach the amount of 4,000 euros per applicant. However, in the event that the available credit, based on the number of approved applications that meet the necessary requirements to access beneficiary status, is not sufficient to attend to all of them, a proportional reduction in the amount will be applied. of each and every one of the individual grants awarded.

Beneficiaries may only submit a single application to the local entity where their fiscal domicile is located.

Lastly, inform that SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals will not be able to attend this call who, under the calls made by this City Council with exclusive funds from the Provincial Council of Alicante and with the aim of minimizing the economic impact that COVID-19, is presuming on these groups, have requested aid for energy supply contract expenses for the same eligible period included in this program.
