16th Edition Young Entrepreneurs Award Competition, Torrevieja City Council. Annual Payment 2025.

The 16th edition of the Torrevieja City Council's "Young Entrepreneurs" awards will soon be announced. The 2025 annual calendar year will be announced soon.

The Young Entrepreneurs 2025 awards are part of the actions carried out by the Department of Employment, Local Development and Entrepreneurship, through the Local Development Agency, with the   purpose of recognizing the work of young entrepreneurs linked to the city who have developed or launched business projects.

The specific objectives of the awards are: to promote entrepreneurship among Torrevieja residents; to foster the cooperative and social economy; to foster social recognition for entrepreneurs; to foster a positive image of entrepreneurs as generators of wealth and employment; to encourage innovation as a competitive strategy for companies, as well as the creation of businesses and services related to the tourism sector, local commerce, new technologies, building conservation and renovation, the environment, sports, culture, leisure, and free time; to recognize entrepreneurial individuals who have started a new business; and to provide support and backing for entrepreneurs who have begun their business activity, thereby stimulating the creation of new businesses and new jobs in the economy of the municipality of Torrevieja.

Individuals or legally constituted legal entities that meet the following requirements may participate in this competition:

In the case of natural persons (individual entrepreneurs and limited liability entrepreneurs):

• Be registered in the municipality of Torrevieja.
• Be at least 35 years old by September 8, 2025 (the deadline for submitting applications to this competition).

In the case of legal entities with profit motive:

• Have your tax and social domicile in the municipality of Torrevieja.
• At least half of the members must be 35 years old or older by September 8, 2025 (the deadline for submitting applications for this tender), and they must hold at least 51% of the company's share capital.

All public entities, private entities with public participation, as well as associations or other non-profit entities are excluded from the right to submit candidacies.

Projects may be submitted, understood as companies that are legally established between 09/01/2024 and 08/31/2025 .

• Projects may focus on activities and services related to the tourism sector, local commerce, new technologies, building conservation and rehabilitation, the environment, sports, culture, leisure, and free time.

• The project will be deemed to be legally constituted:

5. In the case of a legal entity, upon submission of registration in the corresponding public registry (commercial registry, cooperative society registry, etc.), tax registration, and registration with the corresponding social security system.
5. In the case of a natural person (individual entrepreneur), when registration with the tax authorities and registration with the corresponding social security or professional mutual insurance scheme are submitted.
5. In the case of a natural person (Limited Liability Entrepreneur), in addition to the requirements of the previous point, it will be necessary to register the status of limited liability entrepreneur in the Commercial Registry and the Property Registry.
5. All actions referred to in order to understand the legally constituted project must have been carried out within the period between 01/09/2024 and 31/08/2025.

The following prizes and amounts are established:

5. First prize : 7,000 euros
5. Second prize : 3,500 euros
5. third prize : 1,500 euros.

Any applicable taxes in accordance with current legislation will be deducted from the aforementioned amounts. It is the winners' responsibility, in all cases, to declare the prizes as appropriate for the tax to which they are subject.

A formal awards ceremony will be held. Winners will be notified of the ceremony well in advance and agree to participate.

Today, July 29, 2025, the announcement of the approval of the call and specific regulatory bases for the Young Entrepreneurs Award Competition, 16th Edition, is being published. 2025 Annual Payment.

The application period will open upon publication of the call for applications in the Alicante Official State Gazette (BOP), details of which will be provided in this section.
