The “Maribel Vallejos” Audience Award, endowed with € 500 and a trophy, is awarded to “MADRE”, La Cueva de Melpómene company

This coming Sunday, October 24, at 8:30 p.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theater will host the awards ceremony and the winning work of this first edition will be performed
The Municipal Institute of Culture "Joaquín Chapaprieta" reported last Wednesday, October 20, the qualifying jury of the I "RAÚL FERRÁNDEZ" NATIONAL AMATEUR THEATER CONTEST, made up of:
-José Antonio Quesada, Councilor for Culture, as President, with voice but without vote.
-Matías Antón, director of the “Raúl Ferrández” Municipal Theater School, as secretary, without voice and without vote.
-María José Arias.
-Antonio Ballester.
-Antonio Espuch.
-María Teresa Martínez.
-Eliseo Pérez.
-Carolina Martínez.
The jury, after successive deliberations, issued the following ruling:
-PRIZE FOR THE BEST WORK. ENDOWED WITH € 2,000 and trophy:
"The crazy people of Valencia". UGTeatro (Murcia).
-PRIZE FOR THE BEST ACTRESS. Endowed with plaque.
Victoria Meseguer for "MADRE". Cia. La Cueva de Melpómene.
-AWARD TO THE BEST ACTOR. Endowed with plaque.
Damian Bear for "MOTHER". Cia. La Cueva de Melpómene.
-PUBLIC AWARD "Maribel Vallejos". Endowed with € 500 and a trophy.
Once a total of the voting ballots have been counted by the public attending each of the representations, 29 of which are annulled for not bearing punctuation as specified in the instructions printed on them, it has been obtained the following result:
-LOS LOCOS DE VALENCIA: 370 POINTS
-THE INHERITANCE: 511 POINTS
-MOM: 884 POINTS
-TREES DIE STANDING: 823 POINTS.
Therefore, the “Maribel Vallejos” AUDIENCE AWARD is awarded to “MADRE”. Cia. La Cueva de Melpómene.
This coming Sunday, October 24, at 8:30 p.m., the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja will host the awards ceremony of this I NATIONAL FANS THEATER CONTEST "RAÚL FERRÁNDEZ", and the winning play "Los locos de Valencia" will be performed , an adaptation of the Lope de Vega comedy.
