The Councilor for Quality of Urban Services of the City Council of Torrevieja, Sandra Sánchez, informs that within the maintenance work carried out by the Services Brigade, since last March they have been carrying out painting and conservation work on the existing benches on the Paseos de Juan Aparicio and Avenida de los Marineros, Playa del Cura.

The works have been carried out along almost 600 linear meters for the backless benches, which has consisted of cleaning up the surfaces and subsequent painting of the metal bases and the wood of the seat. As for the isolated benches with backrests distributed in different points of the Juan Aparicio promenade, they are being removed to proceed with their repair in the Service Area workshop and, once restored, they are being reinstalled where they were in the ride before conservation work.

On the other hand, Sandra Sánchez has reported that the Services Brigade of the Torrevieja City Council has carried out the removal of the old metal railing that was in poor condition and that needed to be replaced to protect the existing unevenness in a section of the Paseo of the Cabo Cervera Cliff and has installed a new one. This new railing is 10.50 m long and 1.25 m high. It is formed with 10 cm red pine posts. in diameter, fixed with galvanized boxes every 2.10 meters and two feet of friends at each end of the railing for greater stability of the whole.
