The City Council organizes a specialized training course on care and respectful accompaniment for women victims of gender-based violence

The course will be taught by specialized teachers with extensive professional experience in the field of Gender and Equality Work, as well as in the field of Psychology and Social and Human Sciences.

The Councilor for Equality of the City Council of Torrevieja, Tomás Ballester, informs that during the next month of June the SPECIALIZED TRAINING COURSE IN ATTENTION AND ACCOMPANIMENT will be taught in the multipurpose room of the peripheral City Council of La Mata

With this course, aimed at social agents involved in the intervention with gender violence and students who are being trained in issues related to this matter, the Torrevieja City Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Equality, intends to provide the participating public with basic tools for specialized care for victims of gender-based violence to help them get out of the cycle of sexist violence, carrying out timely interventions and providing the keys to effective accompaniment and monitoring of victims of violence.

The course will be taught by specialized teachers with extensive professional experience in the field of Gender and Equality Work, as well as in the field of Psychology and Social and Human Sciences. Specifically, it will be taught by María Jesús Navarro, Alicia Granja and Aina Penyrroja.

The duration of this training will be 20 teaching hours and 5 hours of online tutoring, and has the approval of the Valencian Institute of Public Administration (IVAP). It will be held on June 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
