12,678 students start in Torrevieja the 2022/23 school year

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, on the occasion of the start of the 2022/23 school year, has visited several educational centers in the town to inquire about this beginning of the course.

Eduardo Dolón, who has been accompanied by the directors of the schools, has visited the CEIP Salvador Ruso and Gratiniano Baches, as well as a delegate section of the ESO of the IES Torrevigía that is located this year in the classrooms of the International Conservatory next to the Auditorium, to end by visiting the facilities of the ALPE Special Education Center.

At this beginning of the course Torrevieja has a total of 12,678 students in Infant and Primary, ESO, FP, Bachiller and cycles, which represents an increase of more than 2,000 students compared to the previous course 2021/2022, which was from 10,662. The student body in Primary from March to July amounted to 1,142 students, of which 624 were boys and girls from Ukraine, in addition to 262 from August to September. Likewise, the student body that occurred in Secondary School was 131 students from July to September 2022.

STUDENTS AND UNITS (CLASSROOMS):

-Infant student body: 2,026 students, 90 units

-Primary students; 4,816 students, 193 units

-Secondary Students: 3,710 students, 124 units

-Baccalaureate and Vocational Training: 1,733 students, 36 units.
