The 8th edition of the Gymkhanica Patron Saint Festivities 2022 is presented under the motto "Torrevieja is gossip"

The Youth Department of the Torrevieja City Council presents the 8th edition of the Gymkhanica, under the slogan " Torrevieja is gossip ". This is an activity that is part of the 2022 Patron Saint Festivities, which is aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 30, and which will be held on Saturday, December 3, departing from the Youth Information and Animation Center (CIAJ).

Starting next Monday, November 21, at 10:00 a.m., all interested parties will be able to register their teams through the electronic office, with 20 being the maximum number of teams, and which must be made up of four people each. from them. Each team will appoint a spokesperson from among its components who will be in charge of maintaining contact with the organization. The Gymkhanica tries to create an environment of brotherhood and community around some tests in a competitive environment, but at the same time healthy with physical, intellectual, dexterity, memory activities and very marked by the Torrevejense culture.

The theme of the Gymkhanica of this 2022, which will be the VIII edition, comes under the motto " Torrevieja is gossip ", whose tests revolve around journalism and which is intended to be a tribute to the local press, since they will include references to the media local, news and some gossip from the city.

The tests, as always, are marked by fun, in which the teams should not have a problem losing their shame in the different situations that arise. As every year, the culture and traditions of Torrevieja, as well as the history of our city, will be reflected in many of the tests to be overcome, and which must combine knowledge, skill, ability, memory and speed. This year all the participants will be aspiring journalists but only some of them will succeed. Those who complete all the tests correctly in the shortest possible time and respecting the established rules will be the winners.

The departure will be from the CIAJ and before starting the tests, the rules for their safe development will be explained.

It should be noted that this year it will also have a second prize that will be a surprise for all the teams that participate in the event.

There will be prizes for the first three classified groups:

1st PRIZE : 1 trip to the snow for the winning group worth €1,000.

2nd PRIZE : 1 ride on a jet ski worth €320.

3rd PRIZE : Voucher courtesy of the Torrevieja and Region Hotel Association valued at €100.

Applications will be made in strict order of registration through the electronic office of the Torrevieja City Council, and the attached documents must include the name of the group, and that of all its components and provide a copy of the ID of each one of them. In the case of minors, it will be the father/mother or legal guardian who signs said authorization, attaching their ID and that of the participant.
