Moors and Christians from Crevillent and troupes from the Torrevieja Carnival will accompany the Queen and Ladies of Salt in the Summer Parade next Sunday, August 13

The parade will begin in the vicinity of the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, and will go through Ramón Gallud street to its intersection with Patricio Pérez street, starting at 8:30 p.m.

The Department of Fiestas has programmed for this Sunday, August 13 at 8:30 p.m., a new edition of the Summer Parade that is usually held in mid-August, assuming a great attraction for visitors and Torrevejenses. It will start from the “Virgen del Carmen” Cultural Center, and will go along Ramón Gallud street to the intersection with Patricio Pérez street.

The main protagonists of the parade will be the 2022/2023 salt court that will greet all attendees from a float. Wearing their best clothes will be the Queen of Salt, Maribel López and the ladies, Minerva Sinnema and Lucyla Pérez. They will be accompanied by several troupes from the Torrevieja Carnival, declared of Autonomous Tourist Interest of the Valencian Community. With all the colors and their spectacular choreographies, the troupes will parade, "QK", "Desafío", "Osadía", "No ni ná", "Aquí hay tomate", and the Kings of Carnival 2023 with the troupe "Soul Dance", Sara Fernández (elder queen), Edurne Vera (child queen) and Óscar Torregrosa (carnival king).

There will be a representation of one of the most deeply rooted festivals in the province of Alicante, such as the Moors and Christians, with the presence of partygoers who have great ties of friendship with Torrevieja such as the Association of Moors and Christians "San Francisco de Asís ” of Crevillent, festivals declared of National Tourist Interest. They will be in charge of opening the parade with two rows of Moors, accompanied by music bands and a representation of the "Molinos del Calvario" Bonfire from Torrevieja.

After them, it will be the turn of the participating carnival troupes, preceding two shows. One of them with a marine theme, thus paying homage to the origins of Torrevieja, followed by a spectacle of confetti and streamers. The Salinera Court 2022/2023 will close this summer parade that will start from the vicinity of the "Virgen del Carmen" Cultural Center and that will go through Ramón Gallud street to its intersection with Patricio Pérez street. It will have a reserved space for people with reduced mobility that is located next to the Hotel Fontana.
