In a meeting held this Friday morning at Torrevieja City Hall, chaired by the mayor of the city, Eduardo Dolón, and with the participation of Inmaculada Montesinos, Councilor for Equality, together with the jury composed of: Mª Sol Cos, Antonia Albentosa, Dolores Sánchez and Gertru Baeza, assisted by the municipal technicians of the Equality Unit of the Torrevieja City Council, the selection of the MUJER 2025 awards was carried out on the occasion of the celebration of "International Women's Day" on March 8. After reading all the proposals received by the Social Welfare and Equality councilors, it was unanimously decided:

-To award the 2025 WOMEN'S AWARD to Rosario Carmona Muñoz, in recognition of her long personal, social and professional career, being a person highly appreciated by the population of Torrevieja.

This award is given in recognition of the life, personal and professional career of a woman from the town, valuing her personal and professional efforts, social vocation or her impact on the life of our municipality.

The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 8, at 12:00 noon, at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center, during the Gala to be held on the occasion of International Women's Day, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
