The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, held a working meeting this morning with the Regional Secretary of Housing, Sebastián Fernández, which was also attended by the Director General of Housing, Juan Antonio Pérez, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Family, Coexistence and Integration, and Housing, Oscar Urtasun.
During the meeting, the mayor reviewed the housing projects both institutions are promoting. The deadline for submitting bids for the competition for the construction of public housing in the municipality through a swap for future construction on municipal land, where the development of more than 600 homes is planned, is March 27th.
The Regional Secretary informed Eduardo Dolón of the positive response to the tenders submitted to date, which guarantees the development of more than 500 of the 1,600 homes put out to tender by the Generalitat as part of the ViVE CV Plan.
The city council is already working on coordinating the means to be implemented to provide maximum publicity to the developments and thereby achieve adequate communication between the supply of future housing and demand. The mayor's intention is to place special emphasis on facilitating access to affordable housing for young Torrevieja residents.
