Torrevieja City Council's Councilor for Social Welfare, Óscar Urtasun, announces that registration opens tomorrow, Tuesday, May 6th, and runs through May 30th for the Summer School and Caballito de Mar 2025. Both will be held at the Maestro Salvador Ruso Primary School.

SUMMER SCHOOL

The Summer School has 315 places and will begin on July 1 and August 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the option of adding a half-hour, starting at 8:30 a.m., with the Early Bird service for parents who need it to balance their work and school hours.

The two months of July and August can be divided into 4 fortnights, allowing you to choose to attend all 4 fortnights or any fortnight you choose.

This year, there will also be FREE lunch service for all children who request it, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The summer school is for children aged 4 to 12 registered in the municipality of Torrevieja.

-Price of the monthly activity spot: €160 / fortnight €80

-Price of the subsidized monthly place: €50 / subsidized fortnight: €25

Applications can be submitted online through the City Council's website or by picking up the forms at the Social Welfare Office.

SEA HORSE

Applications also open tomorrow, Tuesday, for Caballito de Mar, which will take place at the Salvador Ruso school from July 21 to August 8. There are 17 places available for this summer school, which are intended for children between the ages of 4 and 17 (born between 2008 and 2021, inclusive) with specific educational support needs.

They must be registered in Torrevieja and hold a certificate certifying a disability level equal to or greater than 33%. Free motor skills, art therapy, and music therapy activities will be offered in Caballito de Mar, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The main objective of Caballito de Mar is to allow participants to occupy part of their summer vacation, foster their social integration, and, at the same time, support families in cases where students need more attention and care.
