Torrevieja Youth Symphony Orchestra

On Sunday, May 11, at 12:00 p.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theater will host an extraordinary concert featuring the Torrevieja Youth Symphony Orchestra (JOST), which combines virtuosity, emotion, and the richness of classical and contemporary repertoire.

The first part of the concert will feature the Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra by classical composer Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf, with the participation of young musician Adrián Martínez, a distinguished member of the orchestra, as soloist. The audience will then be able to enjoy Ludwig van Beethoven's majestic Symphony No. 5, a work universally recognized for its powerful opening theme and emotional intensity, capable of moving the listener from the first bar.

The second part of the program will be dedicated to the world premiere of Magellan's Expedition, composed by the orchestra's director, Adolfo Arronis. Inspired by the epic journey of Ferdinand Magellan and the first circumnavigation of the globe, this score proposes a musical journey filled with adventure, exploration, and historical grandeur, transporting the audience across oceans and through epic challenges.

With this special program, Torrevieja continues to consolidate its position as a cultural landmark, combining artistic excellence and promoting local talent. Two days to celebrate music, history, film, and youth in a city that embraces culture as its driving force.
