The Natural History Museum will open this Sunday, May 18, for International Museum Day.

The Torrevieja City Council's Councillor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, reports that the Natural History Museum will open this Sunday, May 18, in the morning and afternoon to commemorate International Museum Day. Guided tours will be held at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., followed by biodiversity games and special workshops for attendees, who will receive merchandising products courtesy of the Torrevieja Tourist Office.
And now you can choose your workshop: "DNA Extraction," "See how a plant grows," among others. In addition, children receive "Defenders of Nature" diplomas after demonstrating their knowledge of nature and the necessary measures for its protection through these activities. And all for free.
Discover one of Torrevieja's greatest and least-known treasures, the Natural History Museum, and enjoy a comprehensive tour of the Parque de la Estación area and the newly installed "hippie huts." Opening hours for May and June are as follows:
-Wednesday and Friday mornings for educational centers.
-General public and families: Free admission on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a guided tour at 11:00 a.m.; and free admission on Friday afternoons from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a guided tour at 6:00 p.m.
Don't miss this opportunity to visit the museum because it's only open until the end of June, after which it will close again for renovations.
