The May Fair will feature Violet Points to offer care, information, and support to potential victims of gender-based violence.

Torrevieja City Council, through the Department of Equality and in conjunction with Civil Protection, will set up two purple points in Antonio Soria Park, where the May Fair will be held, from today, Thursday, to Sunday, May 18, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., to offer assistance, information, and support to potential victims of gender-based violence.

The objective of this purple point is to raise awareness and highlight the commitment to and rejection of violence against women, as well as to provide information on the Valencian Government's protocol for responding to sexual assault and to promote violence-free leisure spaces.

As a new feature, the purple points will feature tests for detecting illegal substances in beverages, provided by the Commissioner for the Fight against Violence against Women of the Valencian Government.
