The 6th edition of "Health Conversations: Addictions, Seriously" will be held on Thursday, June 12th.

From the Department of Prevention and Health Promotion of the Torrevieja City Council, headed by Councilor Rosa Cañón, they continue with the organization of the next edition of the HEALTH CONVERSATIONS cycle, whose objective is to bring to the citizens of Torrevieja a health topic, current or relevant at that time, in an informal and colloquial format, carried out by professionals from our health area (doctors, psychologists, nurses from the different health centers, both public and private), specialized in said subject.

In this sixth edition, scheduled for next Thursday, June 12, at 7:00 p.m., at the Torrevieja Casino, a highly sensitive topic will be addressed: "Addictions, Seriously," which deserves our attention due to its emotional and family impact.

Recognizing its importance and offering families the support and guidance they need is the purpose of this discussion. To this end, we will feature leading professionals involved in different stages of grief, who will share their perspectives on how this experience is experienced and what resources we have to cope with it: guidance and support:

-Cristina Richart and Finamari Molero, social worker and psychologist, technicians at the UPCCA of the Torrevieja City Council.

-Ana Puigcerver Gómez, technician responsible for the UPCCA, Torrevieja City Council

-José Antonio García, medical director of UCA Torrevieja

-Adriana León, psychologist at APAEX Torrevieja

-Oscar Vicente Echevarría

Rosa Cañón recalled that four previous editions have been held to date, with great success and participation:
1st Edition: “Breast Cancer” (October 2023)
2nd Edition: “Blood Donation and…much more: Bone Marrow” (March 2024)
3rd Edition: “Health and Functional Diversity in Fibromyalgia” (May 2024)
IV Edition: “Understanding Alzheimer's” (September 2024)
5th Edition: “How to support perinatal grief?” (March 2025)
