More than 100 municipal workers have received "Basic CPR and AED" training at the Torrevieja University Hospital.

The Torrevieja City Council's Department of Public Health, headed by Councilor Rosa Cañón, in collaboration with the Torrevieja University Hospital's Training Department, has provided Basic Life Support and defibrillator training to more than 100 employees from various municipal departments and the Local Police during the first half of 2025, for the second consecutive year.
Cardiorespiratory arrest is a critical situation in which the heart stops beating. It is time-dependent, and it is essential to be trained to know how to respond until medical professionals arrive.
In Spain, approximately 45,000 cardiac arrests occur each year, that is, 1 every 12 minutes.
Thank you to the Torrevieja Hospital Training Department for your involvement in health promotion and prevention!
And thanks to all of you who have been encouraged to take this Course!
