Meetings begin to report on the new immigration law.

The Torrevieja City Council's Department of Coexistence and Integration, through the Migrant Assistance Office (PANGEA), has begun meetings and discussions to provide information on new developments and, above all, on changes related to the Settlement Reports prepared by the municipal department.
The first talk, held at the Multipurpose Center on Avenida de las Habaneras, was aimed at students of the Spanish for Settlement program taught by the Atis Association.
Likewise, María del Rocío Raffaeli Serrano, an intercultural mediator recently incorporated into Pangea, was introduced. The talk was attended by the Councilor for Coexistence and Integration, Óscar Urtasun, and the Councilor for Residents
International, Gitte Lund, and the technician from the PANGEA office, Jean Paul Mulero. The entry into force on May 20, 2025, of the new Immigration Law, by Royal Decree 1155/2024 of November 19, contemplates five types of Roots: family roots, social roots, socio-labor roots, second chance roots and
socio-formative roots.
Finally, Óscar Urtasun reminded everyone that any individual, association, or group interested in participating in these talks should send an email to pangea@torrevieja.eu, where they will be informed of the dates, times, and locations of the various meetings.
