The resurfacing and repair work on the Levante Dam will be completed in August.

The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Urban Services, Sandra Sánchez, accompanied by the construction manager, Cayetano Bernabé, and representatives of the successful bidder, visited this morning the resurfacing and repair works on the Levante Dike, which cover 1,247 linear meters and represent an investment of 6,543,733 euros (VAT included).
The mayor highlighted the high level of completion of the works, with the renovation of the steel structure and the adaptation of the seawall face now fully completed. Furthermore, the work involving the installation of the new raised access pavement is well advanced, and the precast concrete bench modules around the entire perimeter of the seawall and the first sections of stainless steel railing have already begun to be installed.
Eduardo Dolón has reported that if the works continue at this good pace, they will be completed in August. There has been a slight delay in their execution, according to the contracting company, due to inclement weather (rain and strong gusts of wind throughout the winter and spring), as well as the delay in the supply of architectural and monumental lighting (financed with funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan - Next Generation Funds).
ACCESS RAMP TO THE LEVANTE DAM
Meanwhile, the mayor of Torrevieja has announced the status of the urban development works in the port area, highlighting the work on the fairgrounds, which are currently carrying out the pipeline works throughout the entire area.
He also indicated that work on the platform connecting the Levante Dike to the leisure center is being scheduled in coordination with the leisure center's concessionaire. He also announced that once the new access road to the fish market and Marina Salinas club is completed and operational, work on the ramp's foundation structure will begin.
Finally, the mayor emphasized that Torrevieja City Council's goal is to complete the leisure center's opening with the development of the center's perimeter completed, in addition to the implementation of the Levante Dike connection platform and the restoration of the Mínguez Pier.
