Lara Dibildos and César Lucendo will star in the comedy "State of Alarm" in Torrevieja.

On Friday, August 23 , at 9:00 p.m. , the Torrevieja Municipal Theater will host a performance of Estado de alarma , a comedy with dramatic overtones starring Lara Dibildos and César Lucendo . The play, set during the lockdown in March 2020, offers a story that is as current as it is emotional, where the unexpected coexistence between two strangers who hate each other ends up becoming a transformative experience.
Fede , a police officer on sick leave due to depression who survives on pills and alcohol, decides to sell the house he lived in with his ex-wife: a space filled with memories he can no longer bear. Julia , a lawyer from Madrid living in London, has just landed a new position in the capital and urgently needs a home.
On March 14, 2020 , just before the State of Emergency was declared, they visited the house together. What Julia found was a disaster: graffiti on the walls, a dangerous neighborhood, and a train that shook the ground every ten minutes. Outraged, she left, slamming the door. But a moment later, she heard another knock on the door: the pandemic had shut down the country, and she had nowhere else to go.
They don't know each other. They don't like each other. But now they're forced to live together.
During the lockdown, what began as a nightmare will become something unexpected. With wonderful staging, relatable performances, and a fast-paced and emotional script, State of Alarm invites us to reflect on loneliness, memory, fear, and the ability to find light in the midst of uncertainty.
Tickets are now on sale at the Municipal Theater box office and on the official website www.culturatorrevieja.com .
