Free contemporary corporality workshop for musicians and dancers, July 21-26

The Joaquín Chapaprieta Municipal Institute of Culture announces the launch of the Creative Workshop for Musicians and Dancers, from July 21 to 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center.
- From 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Joint work on the contemporary body.
- From 12:00 to 13:00. Joint creation.
- On July 26th at 12:00 noon, there will be an exhibition “Work in progress”
The course, which will be taught by Katherine Valera Reynaert and Marta Andreu, is free upon acceptance of application. Registration is available online at the Municipal Institute of Culture through a general application.
Requirements for participants:
Musicians and vocalists ages 12 and older. A minimum of three years of instrumental training and performing experience. Musicians must contribute one or two fully developed pieces from their repertoire.
Requirements for dancers:
Dancers ages 12 and up. Minimum 3 years of training.
Workshop objectives:
This workshop is conceived and designed to provide participating students and faculty with a collective approach to the body through contemporary language as an interpretive and creative instrument, both for musicians and dancers, fostering interdisciplinary work between both disciplines and stimulating creativity for the municipality's artistic and cultural output.
