Grand productions such as "State of Alarm" with Lara Dibildos, "Inmaduros" with Carlos Sobera, "Remátame Otra Vez" with Belinda Washington, "Intruso" by Ara Malikian, and "Swan Lake"; along with comedy shows by Miguel Lago, David Navarro, Juan Amodeo, and also Los Morancos; the magic of Jorge Luengo, the concert with a DJ from the Royal Concert Orchestra, tributes to Sabina, Michael Jackson, Vaiana, and The Beatles; and a variety of shows featuring local talent, make up the program for the September-December 2025 season of Cultura Torrevieja.

This morning, the Councilor for Culture, Antonio Quesada, and the Cultural Coordinator of Torrevieja City Council, Manuel Esteban Moreno, in collaboration with the Torrevieja Culture team, presented the Cultural Program for September-December 2025, a wide and varied offering that includes concerts, theater, dance, children's activities, comedy, and much more.

With just seven months of this year underway, the Torrevieja Municipal Theater and International Auditorium have hosted 103 opening sessions combined, with more than 53,000 attendees. Unforgettable international shows have been staged, including concerts by Marta Santos and Antoñito Molina, the comedy The Performance That Goes Wrong, the musical The Doctor, and the impressive Phantom of the Opera, which sold out all four performances. To round off 2025 with a bang, more than 50 shows are expected to make the end of the year an unmissable cultural event.

September

Although the cultural program for the next four-month period officially begins in September, it's worth noting that there will be a preview on August 23 with the presentation of "State of Alarm," starring Lara Dibildos and César Lucendo. This play tells the story of a couple of strangers who find themselves trapped in a disastrous apartment during the early days of the pandemic. The play, despite being a lighthearted comedy, addresses the subject with sensitivity and respect.

September will kick off with the tenth edition of the Torrevieja Audiovisual Film Festival, followed by the first screening of the Flamenco y Sal series and the premiere of the comedy Inmaduros, starring Carlos Sobera. The film centers on two fifty-somethings who begin to rethink their relationships with the women in their lives.

We'll continue with the 1st Street Theater Series "Salpa Fuera," with three new offerings in September, October, and December. We'll also include two concerts as part of the 5th Music in the Park Series.

The month continues with the family show "Cinderella: The Musical with a 50s Rhythm," which puts a twist on the classic story, followed by the comedy show "Bis a Bis" by Los Morancos, where the famous comedians end up in prison for their "high level of offensive humor."

We will conclude, among others, with the 37th International Choral Meeting "City of Torrevieja," which promises to be a highlight in the music scene, organized by the Francisco Vallejos Choir.

October

The month will kick off with a concert by The Flamming Shakers , one of Europe's best Beatles tribute bands according to critics. We'll also be treated to a stand-up comedy by comedian and YouTuber Juan Amodeo , followed by the first concert of the new season by the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra (OST), which, conducted by Adolfo Arronis, will focus on the classical repertoire of Sibelius and Tchaikovsky.

The Nacho Duato dance company will return to Torrevieja with its new tour, which will tour various parts of the country. A few days later, Borja Niso will present his “Ludovico Musical Experience,” an innovative theatrical piano and cello performance.

This month also marks the start of a new series of Palace Fridays , in which we'll enjoy a four-day jazz program featuring national and international artists.

The Torrevieja Musical Union (UMT) will return to welcome autumn with its concert "Vientos de Otoño," featuring the best original music for wind orchestra; followed by the concert "500 Noches: Sabina en las venas," recognized as the best tribute to maestro Sabina and promising to thrill all his fans.

On October 24th and 25th, we will celebrate the 12th Ricardo Lafuente International Singing Competition, a must-attend event on the international lyrical scene under the umbrella of the Habaneras Municipal Board.

October will conclude with the family show "The Princess and the Pea," a retelling of the famous children's story, another performance from the "Flamenco and Salt" series, and the premiere of José Zorrilla's "Don Juan Tenorio," performed by the Municipal Theater School under the direction of Matías Antón.

November

The penultimate month of the year will open with the authentic and spectacular Michael Jackson tribute entitled "He's Back" at the International Auditorium, featuring one of the world's best impersonators of the King of Pop, impressive choreography, and stunning visual effects. That same night, comedian David Navarro will perform at the Municipal Theater with his stand-up comedy "No tengo remedio," which promises to deliver a huge laugh.

On November 8th, we will celebrate the final of the 2nd Young Music Talent Competition at the Palacio de la Música, an opportunity to enjoy the virtuosity of young musicians.

Violinist Ara Malikian will return to our city with his show "Intruso," to break new ground and transform the way we understand classical music. The month will continue with two new editions of "Flamenco y Sal," followed by the grand children's musical "La Isla de Maui," inspired by the film Moana. We'll also be celebrating the long-awaited crowning of the 2025-2026 Queen of La Sal.

The month will conclude with the Royal Concert Orchestra presenting "DJ Symphonic," a fascinating, avant-garde combination of symphony orchestra and DJ, reinterpreting the greatest electronic pop anthems. It will also feature two concerts in honor of Saint Cecilia, one offered by the University of Torrevieja (UMT) and the other by the Sociedad Musical Ciudad de Torrevieja band "Los Salerosos."

December

The holiday season will kick off with "Lily: A Torrevieja Tale" and the "Symphonic Pop Feeling" concert by Sette Voci and the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, a unique event where we'll relive some of the greatest pop hits.

We'll then have the latest edition of the "Flamenco y Sal" series; and then Miguel Lago's monologue, in which the comedian will demonstrate why he remains a leading figure in stand-up comedy in our country after 25 years of artistic career. A few days later, Jorge Luego will present his impressive magic show "Ensueños," featuring disappearances, transformations, fusions, mind readings, and more that will make reality seem completely impossible.

The month will continue with the UMT Christmas concert "Symphonic Gospel," featuring Voces de Barcelona Messengers and pianist Ramón Escalé; followed by the play "Remátame Otra Vez," a hilarious mystery comedy in which a murder at dinner unleashes secrets, betrayals, and, above all, situations as absurd as they are hilarious. It features performances by Belinda Washington, Jesús Cabrero, and others.

The season will conclude with the ballet performance "Swan Lake," a classic production featuring incredibly realistic set pieces and dazzling costumes, perfect for the whole family.

Furthermore, this semester, we'll also be able to experience art in our exhibition halls. A total of seven offerings range from the Impressionism of Luis Cajal, to the Hyperrealism of Jesús Inglés, to Ekhaterina Romahskina's "Everyday Scenes" and Fran Berbel's "Glimpse of the Invisible." Not to mention the exhibition of the 27th Quick Painting Competition, which will take place in October.

With a variety of shows that promise to captivate all audiences, the Municipal Institute of Culture, together with the Torrevieja Culture Joint Venture, continue working to maintain our city as a cultural destination year-round. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy exciting artistic experiences and immerse yourself in a world of creativity and entertainment. Tickets for most of these events will be available starting today, July 15th, at 12:00 p.m. at the Municipal Theater box office and on the website www.culturatorrevieja.com .
