The traveling photography exhibition "Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla: 100 Years of Supplying Water and Progress" opens.

This traveling photography exhibition, which will remain in Torrevieja until July 29, sheds light on its history in anticipation of its centenary. It comprises twelve panels, each 120 x 120 centimeters high, that summarize the most important moments in the organization's history from its founding on October 4, 1927, to the present day, delving into such significant events as the construction of the most representative infrastructures of its hydraulic system and the arrival of water to the municipalities.
In this exhibition, the last two panels are dedicated to the relationship between Torrevieja and the Taibilla Canal Association (Mancomunidad de Canales del Taibilla). Among the images are the document dated July 31, 1946, in which the mayor of Torrevieja requests that the municipality be granted membership in the MCT (Mediterranean Water Commission), as well as several photographs of the construction and current state of the infrastructure that provides water supply to the population.
