The Queen and Ladies of Salt, and the Torrevieja Carnival, will be the stars of the summer parade next Friday, August 15.

The Councilor for Festivals, Rosario Martínez, has announced that a new edition of the Summer Parade will take place on Friday, August 15th, starting at 9:00 p.m., an event that is a major attraction for visitors and residents of Torrevieja. It will depart from the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center and proceed along Calle Ramón Gallud to the intersection with Calle Clemente Gosalvez.
The main protagonists of the parade will be the 2024/2025 Salt Court, who will greet all attendees from a float. Dressed in their finest finery will be the Salt Queen, Nuria Martí, and the ladies, Ana Vidal and Inés Martínez. The Carnival Kings, Lucía Martínez, Pablo Hernández, and Mireya Ferrández, will also participate on floats, accompanied by their respective groups.
The parade will be opened by a float featuring representatives of the neighborhood festivals: the Ladies and Beauties of the "Molinos del Calvario" Bonfires, as well as the Queen of La Mata and the Queen of the Sacred Heart festivals.
In addition, with all the color and spectacular choreography, more than 200 people from the carnival groups Ciudad del Mar, Escarcha-te, Osadía, Las Nikai, Los Gonfer, Bufa la gamba, Porque si, Jolgorio, Desafio, Mar de plata, Daimana, Soul Dance, Payas, QK, No ni ná, Aquí hay tomate will parade.
The 2024/2025 Salt Court will close this summer parade, which will depart from the vicinity of the "Virgen del Carmen" Cultural Center and proceed along Ramón Gallud Street to its intersection with Clemente Gosalvez Street.
This year, the closing ceremony will take place on the iconic Paseo Vista Alegre, which will become the epicenter of the celebration with a large exhibition area where troupes and groups can showcase their costumes and choreography to the public. As a culmination of this festive day, the presentation of the 2026 Carnival Kings and Queens will take place, as well as the poster announcing the next edition, in an event filled with emotion and symbolism that will mark the beginning of the new festive cycle.
