The deadline for participation in the 7th photography contest in tribute to the greatest is now open.

Torrevieja City Councilor for Senior Citizens, Inmaculada Montesinos, announces that the seventh edition of the Tribute to the Elderly Photography Contest is now open and will run until September 14th. This year's theme is "Stories that are inherited," a tribute to those moments when two generations—our elders and young people or children—live together and share experiences in their daily lives. To participate in the contest, you must be a pensioner over 60 years of age and registered in Torrevieja. A maximum of two photographs per participant may be submitted. Photographs can be sent by email to terceraedad@torrevieja.eu or delivered in a sealed envelope, indicating the participant's name and telephone number, to the Department for Senior Citizens (C/ Maldonado, No. 5). Inmaculada Montesinos announced that the awards ceremony for the 7th Tribute to the Elderly Photography Contest will be held on October 1st, coinciding with the International Day of Older Persons, at a gala at the Torrevieja Municipal Theater.

In the last edition in 2024 the winners were:

-First prize: Manuel Marcos Vizan “THE ESSENTIALS”
-Second prize: Purificación Cabalar “La Lola y yo”
-Third prize: José Antonio Pérez “Chiguito, you're going to get soaked.”
-Special Enrique López Joga Award: Maritza Chacón “Sunset at Cape Cervera”.
