These works will be awarded in the coming weeks, with a budget of 3,929,401.2 euros, and will last approximately eight months, so they could be completed by early summer 2026.

This morning, the Torrevieja City Council's Local Government Board approved subproject 9: Project for the integration of the port and city in the section between the Acequión and the Levante Breakwater. This project is part of the urban development works file for the port and adjacent areas. Federico Alarcón, the Councilor and Secretary of Local Government Board, reported that this is the last project remaining within the so-called port fill area. Only the supply and installation of the Hippie huts remain, which will also be put out to tender by the City Council shortly.

The tender value for this project is nearly €4 million (€3,929,401.2), and the works will last approximately eight months. They could therefore be completed by early summer 2026, given that the awarding of the works also takes into account a reduction in execution times.

These works include the completion of the port access from the Hombre del Mar (Man of the Sea) to the Levante Breakwater to the connecting walkway to the Leisure Center. Federico Alarcón reported that these works, along with other works already approved, such as the primary and secondary electrification of the port, the pier edge, the Levante Breakwater, the cantilevered walkway, etc., will be combined to include all street furniture, lighting, and landscaping, as well as the area's decoration.
