The contract for the home help service is out to tender

The contract will last two years, with a possible extension of two years. The total amount for the four-year contract is €3,724,802 (VAT not included).

The Local Government Board (LGB) of Torrevieja City Council approved this morning the contracting file, expenditure, explanatory report, technical specifications, and administrative clauses for the Home Help Service (HCS). This contract will be awarded through an open procedure and through urgent processing, following the expiration of the previous contract on October 31, 2024. The contract will have a term of two years, plus a possible two-year extension, with a total estimated value of €3,724,802 (VAT not included), or €931,200 per year.

The Councilor for Social Welfare, Óscar Urtasun, has reported that the Home Help Service is a basic benefit of the Public Social Services System of a domestic, personal, and/or educational nature. It is provided in the home itself, to single individuals or cohabiting units. It offers multipurpose and temporary care, integrated with the rest of the Community's benefits and social network, with the aim of enabling greater autonomy and integration into their environment for the beneficiary of the service.

This service is aimed at the population residing in the municipality of

Torrevieja, currently serving more than a hundred people, whose personal and family circumstances or conditions lead to their classification as a person or family in a state or situation of special need, regardless of the type of concession, whether municipal, through a reasoned resolution of the Torrevieja City Council and with application of the municipal regulations or autonomous character through a dependency resolution issued by the Conselleria (person in charge of the General Directorate with powers in matters of care for people in a situation of dependency), which issues an express resolution on the recognition of the dependency situation, degree of the same and Program
