The university course begins at UNED
Students of the Degree in Early Childhood Education will begin their in-person and virtual classes next week. On October 7, members of the Open University will begin the course on contemporary theater.
Next Wednesday, October 1st, students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education degree will begin their classes at the Torrevieja campus of the National University of Distance Education (UNED). In addition, those enrolled in the university entrance courses for those over 25 and 45 will also meet their professors and tutors during the upcoming academic year. Jesús Riquelme, coordinator of the Torrevieja UNED campus, is confident that "once again, 100% of those enrolled, and always those attending in person, will pass and be able to study the degree they choose."
It's worth remembering that the registration period remains open, with no cut-off mark and no numerus clausus , until October 22nd. It's time for those who are most behind to formalize their registration for the 2025-26 academic year, which, if there are no setbacks, will be the last to be held at the location next to the International Auditorium. The completion and opening of the new university headquarters, right in the city center, is scheduled for 2026. It will house classrooms, faculty, and students.
Students of the Open University attend this location, the current one next to Quirón Hospital, and the future one, whose construction is progressing well. It is aimed at those over 55 and offers free courses on a variety of topics, taught by experts in each field. In previous editions, the number of people interested in this quality and friendly training has been increasing, and registrations for this October already reach 50 students.
On Tuesday, October 7th, senior students will gather in the UNED auditorium to attend the curtain raising of the first program of this course: "Tonight there's a performance. An overview of 20th-century Spanish theater." The instructor will be actor, theater director, advertising creative, philologist, and cultural manager Juan León Fabrellas. The course consists of seven sessions, which will take place on October 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 22nd, 23rd, and 29th.
