The urban music festival BIGSOUND continues its expansion and welcomes its new venue in Torrevieja.
Following its established success in Valencia and its expansion to Seville and Pontevedra in the last two years, BIGSOUND Festival announces a new chapter in its history with the celebration of an additional edition in 2026: BIGSOUND Torrevieja (July 24 and 25 at Antonio Soria Park).
Thus, BIGSOUND will have five editions across Spain in 2026: Valencia, Seville, Pontevedra, and, as new additions, Torrevieja and Barakaldo, establishing itself as the largest mainstream and urban music festival in the country and one of the leading gatherings of the genre in Europe.
AN EXPANSION BASED ON SUCCESS
Impact in Valencia
With over 300,000 attendees in previous editions, BIGSOUND has established itself as the most popular music event in Valencia and a must-see among the top five festivals in the Valencian Community. At the same time, it has established itself as an international success story, capable of mobilizing diverse audiences and generating a strong economic and tourism impact in each city where it is held.
In Valencia, in its five previous editions, BIGSOUND surpassed €200 million in direct economic impact and nearly €300 million in indirect and induced impact; it generated more than 2,200 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs, and achieved hotel occupancy rates of up to 92% on some of the festival's days. Furthermore, 64% of the audience came from outside the city, with attendees from all over Spain and more than a dozen countries, confirming its potential to act as an economic and tourism driver.
Consolidation in Galicia
Upon its arrival in Galicia, BIGSOUND Pontevedra attracted more than 35,000 attendees in its first edition, achieving an estimated impact of €14 million and mobilizing more than 1,300 professionals. The festival immediately established itself as the musical event of the summer in Galicia, also ranking among the TOP 5 music festivals in the region.
Screening in Seville
In its two editions in Seville, held in Plaza de España as part of the Icónica Sevilla Fest, BIGSOUND has brought together more than 30,000 attendees, 41% of whom were non-residents of the city and 16% from abroad. The festival has helped consolidate Seville as one of the most attractive cities in the country for live music, positioning itself as a benchmark for urban music within the Andalusian music calendar, thanks to BIGSOUND Sevilla.
BIGSOUND Audience Profile
Overall, the average age is around 27, with a predominant age group of more than 50% of the audience between 25 and 36 years old and 24% between 18 and 24 years old. In terms of gender, BIGSOUND's audience maintains a diverse balance, with 56% women and 44% men, consolidating the festival as an inclusive space, where different generations enjoy equally.
Regarding the success and expansion of BIGSOUND, its founding partners state:
“Each city that hosts BIGSOUND becomes a true cultural epicenter for a few days. We're not just talking about a music festival, but a project that boosts the local economy, attracts visitors from all over Spain and abroad, creates jobs, activates the hospitality industry, and projects the city's image internationally. We're proud to see how BIGSOUND connects with the identity of each region and becomes a driving force of cultural and social transformation wherever it goes.”
