The contract for the acquisition of new equipment for the gyms at the Sports City and the La Mata Pavilion is now out for tender.

The Local Government Board of Torrevieja City Council approved this morning the tender for the purchase of new machinery for the municipal gymnasium, through a negotiated procedure without publicity, after the previous tender was declared void. The base tender budget amounts to 366,137 euros. euros (VAT included) , with a duration of 3 months and a warranty period of two years.

Councilor for Sports, Diana Box Alonso, emphasized that the purpose of this significant investment is to significantly improve the conditions of the gym located in the racquetball area of the Sports City and offer improved quality to the large number of users of this municipal facility. In addition to new equipment, the contract also includes replacing the gym with a raised floor.

Specifically, the City Council will purchase more than 30 new machines with this contract, including a special machine adapted for wheelchair users, bicycles, elliptical trainers, spinning machines, as well as dumbbells, barbells, plate and barbell racks, benches (Scott, lumbar, flat, and adjustable), machines (chest, contractor, dorsal, quadriceps, hamstring, etc.), as well as a dozen plate kits.
