The 11th edition of the Sol International Film Festival arrives in Torrevieja: two days of cinema, excitement, and discovery.
DAY-TO-DAY PROGRAM
October 10 – Opening and screenings
- The opening ceremony will take place at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center , where the 2025 Official Short Film Selection will be presented. Directors or team members will be present to present their works.
- The short films will be screened in their original versions with Spanish or English subtitles, as appropriate.
- Access to these screenings is free, but with limited capacity. You must request an invitation on the website www.solfilmfestival.com.
October 11 – Awards and Gala Dinner
- The event culminates with the Awards Ceremony and a Gala Dinner at Las Columnas Restaurant. During the gala, the winners in the various categories will be announced, followed by live music and a red carpet reception.

The official selection of short films includes both national and international works.

- Sex at 70 (Spain) by Vanesa Romero
These films will explore diverse themes and reflect current perspectives on young, professional, and independent cinema. The teams behind many of these short films will be present to present them and engage with the audience.
JURY, AWARDS AND PUBLIC VOTING
The professional jury is composed of actor Vicente Gil, filmmaker, director of the production and publishing company Cinestesia, director of the Sax Film Festival, Goya Awards evaluator Miguel Herrero Herrero, casting director, actor and producer Pep Armengol, and screenwriter and director of the Spanish Film Showcase in Chile, Jesucristo Riquelme.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best Short Film
- Best Director
- Best Screenplay
- Best Actor
- Best Actress
- Jury Prize
In addition, the audience will be able to vote for their favorite short film , which will receive the Audience Award during the closing ceremony.
