The finishing works around the Levante Dam, as well as the provision of installations and safety elements for the ramp that provides access to it, are now out to tender.
In an extraordinary and urgent session held last Friday, October 17, the Local Government Board approved the tender for the finishing works around the Levante Breakwater, as well as the provision of facilities and safety elements for the access ramp to the Levante Breakwater. The tender amount is €3,929,412, and the construction period is expected to be eight months. However, partial acceptance of the works is contemplated to align it with the port area's commissioning schedule, similar to the rest of the works.
The objective of the works is to complete and provide functionality to the volume built beneath the Levante Dike ramp—designed to house the technical control systems associated with the ornamental fountain and other urban services—and its immediate surroundings. The work includes, among other things, low-voltage installations, interior and street lighting, structured cabling and telecommunications, air conditioning and ventilation of technical rooms, fire protection systems, ornamental fountains, as well as enclosures, carpentry, paving, and urban amenities for the complex adjacent to the ramp.
In order to include in the tender urban elements that allow additional generation of shadows and gardening, the JGL approved in an ordinary session an addendum to the project that includes certain shade elements in order to be included as an element to be included in the evaluation criteria in the offers presented.
EXECUTION OF THE REMODELING WORKS ON THE FISHING PIER'S CLIFF AND URBANIZATION OF THE MÍNGUEZ PIER SURROUNDINGS
On the other hand, the Contracting Committee has proposed the company González Soto, SA as the successful bidder for the construction of the space, which includes the redevelopment of the entire area around Muelle Mínguez and the new promenade to be built on the old fishing dock, in the area between the dock's edge and the port's leisure center.
The company obtained the highest score of the six companies that submitted their bids, earning a total of 94.60 points. It submitted a total bid of €5,055,519, equivalent to a 4.90% reduction in the tender budget. It also submitted a 15-week reduction in the initial estimate. Therefore, the construction period will take three and a half months. However, partial delivery of the project for public use is considered, depending on the needs of the entire port redevelopment program.
