Tribute to Sabina, the family musical "The Princess and the Pea," and the return of Flamenco&Sal, this weekend in Torrevieja.
500 Nights: Sabina in the veins
On Friday, October 24, at 9:00 p.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theater hosts the show "500 Nights: Sabina in the Veins," recognized by critics and audiences as the best tribute show to maestro Joaquín Sabina in Spain.
This show is a carefully curated exploration of the long career of the genius from Úbeda. The undeniable quality and professionalism of the musicians who make up 500 NIGHTS allow them to offer a first-class show worthy of this tribute.
The project is driven by Darío Luís' passion, admiration, and deep knowledge of the maestro's songs, which lead vocalist and composer possesses. His dedication is key to the authenticity and success of this ambitious project.
First presented on Madrid's Gran Vía in 2016, 500 NIGHTS has enjoyed uninterrupted success. Since then, they have toured Spain continuously, becoming a fixture in the programming of major national festivals and selling out the country's main venues and theaters.
His career includes iconic venues such as the Úbeda Bullring, the Cervantes Theater in Almería, and the Mar de Vigo Auditorium, among many others.
The Princess and the Pea
On Sunday, October 26, at 5:00 p.m., the Torrevieja Municipal Theater opens its doors to a reimagined classic story: "The Princess and the Pea," a production by La Roda Producciones that combines the magic of the traditional tale with the humor, criticism, and emotion of contemporary theater.
This family show invites us to rediscover Andersen's famous tale from a fresh, modern, and deeply human perspective. Through meticulous staging, energetic acting, and a set design that blends fantasy and satire, "The Princess and the Pea" becomes a theatrical experience for all audiences.
The seemingly simple plot unleashes chaos at court: a prince in search of true love, a princess who doesn't yet know she's about to fall in love, and a king and queen determined to force an arranged marriage. Things get complicated when a tiny pea becomes the ultimate test to discover whether a princess is truly a princess. But beyond the fable, the play is a hymn to love, tenacity, and the freedom to decide one's own destiny.
