The economic report for the construction project of CEIP Nº 14 "Maestro Ricardo Lafuente" has been approved, which contemplates a total investment of 13,807,397 euros.
The Torrevieja City Council approved today's financial report for the construction project of the new Maestro Ricardo Lafuente Primary School (formerly CEIP Number 14), which entails a total investment of €13,807,397.37 (VAT included) . Once approved by the Local Governing Board, the cost estimate will be submitted to the Regional Ministry of Education for its approval.
The Councillor for Education of Torrevieja City Council, Ricardo Recuero, has announced that this new step represents a decisive advance in providing the city with a much-needed new educational center—modern, accessible, and innovative —which will address both population growth and the current educational needs of the municipality. “Torrevieja continues to make progress in improving and modernizing its educational facilities , reaffirming its commitment to excellent public education,” added Ricardo Recuero.
The new school will be located in the Villa Amalia area.
The future Maestro Lafuente Infant and Primary School , which will be located in the Villa Amalia area, will be a public school with three lines , with a school cafeteria, gymnasium , multipurpose spaces and all the necessary infrastructure to serve the educational community with the highest quality guarantees .
The school will be named after Maestro Ricardo Lafuente Aguado , an illustrious figure of the city and a musical reference of the Habanera, whose work is part of the cultural identity of the history of Torrevieja.
