The project “VIDA Floristería & Eventos”, an innovative space that combines floral art, sustainability and personalized experiences, has been awarded the first prize, endowed with 7,000 euros

The Torrevieja City Council, through the Department of Employment, Entrepreneurship and Local Development, has announced the winners of the 16th edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Awards 2025, whose first prize has been awarded to Sarai Revuelta San Juan Fernández, for her business project “VIDA. Floristería & Eventos”.

The competition, published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) on August 4, 2025, aims to promote the talent and entrepreneurial creativity of young people in Torrevieja, rewarding viable, innovative projects committed to the economic and social development of the municipality. In this edition, the Evaluation Committee awarded a single prize of €7,000, leaving the second and third prizes unawarded.

A CREATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE SPACE AT THE SERVICE OF EMOTIONS

“VIDA Floristería & Eventos” was born last April with the purpose of merging floral art with the creation of unique and sustainable experiences, betting on the use of seasonal flowers, working with local suppliers and the introduction of novel services in Torrevieja, such as the “Flower Bar”, creative floral workshops and the comprehensive organization of weddings and events.

The company, managed by its founder, is distinguished by its commitment to sustainability, personalization and innovation, becoming an emerging benchmark within the floral and events sector of the region.

The company has stated that its goal is "to bring flowers closer to people in a different way, creating moments and memories that connect with the emotion and beauty of the little things." The company also plans to create jobs in 2026 by hiring support staff during the peak wedding season.

AN AWARD THAT RECOGNIZES INITIATIVE, INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

The Councillor for Employment, Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Local Development, Domingo Paredes, emphasized that “these awards reflect the spirit of Torrevieja, a city that fosters young talent and rewards initiative, innovation and sustainability. Recognizing individuals like Sarai highlights the courage of those who choose to start businesses, create jobs and develop projects with their own unique identity in their city.”

She also emphasized that the competition "not only rewards a business idea, but a model of effort, enthusiasm and commitment to Torrevieja," and reminded everyone that the Local Development Agency (ADL) "continues to offer training, advice and support to all those who wish to launch their own project."

COMMITMENT TO LOCAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Young Entrepreneurs Awards are part of the set of programs that the City Council develops through the ADL, in order to recognize the effort of people who decide to start businesses in Torrevieja, promoting innovation, the social economy and the generation of wealth and employment.

The councilor concluded by stating that “Torrevieja is a vibrant city, full of talent, and from the City Council we will continue working to make starting a business here easier and more attractive.”
