On Monday, November 17th, registration opens for the XXXIII Paella Competition "Patron Saint Festivities"
This year, if the participant is a minor, the father, mother or legal guardian must complete and sign the attached form to authorize their participation in the paellas.

Participants can register until November 26th, and the allocation of spaces in the Antonio Soria Park will be in order of presentation of applications through the Electronic Office of the City Council or in the General Registry (PROP OFFICE)
The Torrevieja City Council, on the occasion of the 2025 Patron Saint Festivities, announces the 33rd Paella Competition and the 6th T-Shirt Competition, which will take place on Saturday, December 6th, at the Antonio Soria Park market area. All participants must comply with the requirements set out in the following rules:
- Anyone who wishes to participate and is registered as a resident in the municipality may take part in the competition.
- A maximum of 80 groups may participate in the competition, according to the order of registration, with a maximum of one paella.
- Registration and subsequent allocation of spaces in Antonio Soria Park will be carried out strictly in order of application submission via the Torrevieja City Council's Electronic Office or at the Torrevieja City Council's General Registry (PROP Office), from Monday, November 17th to 26th, 2025. Participants must provide the required information, such as: group representative, group or club details, address, contact telephone number, etc. To do so, the application form, which will be available on the Electronic Office and at the PROP Office, must be completed.
- This year, if the participant is a minor, the father, mother or legal guardian must complete and sign the attached annex to authorize their participation.
- All ingredients for the paellas participating in the competition will be provided by the Department of Festivals (with a maximum of 1 kg of rice per contestant). Participants must bring their own containers, cooking utensils, and paella pans.
- Proper homologation of the paella pan will be mandatory, as well as homologation of the rubber and its correct expiration date.
- Participants must arrive at the market area starting at 07:00 hours.
- The competition will begin at 1:00 PM and the tasting by the jury will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
- The presentation of paellas to the jury for tasting will be done in order of completion of the paella and within the schedule established in these rules.
- No paella will be accepted if it is delivered outside of the designated hours.
- The jury will be appointed by the Organization.
- Six prizes will be awarded.
- The following aspects will be assessed from 1 to 4: presentation, flavor, texture of the rice and cooking point.
- In order not to interfere with the musical performances planned by the Department of Festivals for that day, and for the sake of good coexistence, private sound equipment is not authorized within the premises.
- Participation in this contest implies acceptance of these rules.
