The Casanovas Orchestra presents its "Family Concerts" at the Municipal Theatre

This morning, Wednesday, November 19th, the Family Concerts series, to be offered by the Casanovas Orchestra in 2026, was presented in the Ambigú of the Municipal Theatre. Those in attendance included the Councillor for Culture of the Torrevieja City Council, Antonio Quesada; the Director of the Casanovas Orchestra, José F. Sánchez; Julia Vicedo, representative of Art Culture System Box; and Adrián Barbudo, Commercial Director of MPC Group (sponsor). The concerts will take place at the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre on the following dates and themes:

-Sunday, January 25th at 12:00pm : MUSIC AND INSTRUMENTS OF THE WORLD. With the participation of actor Iván Gisbert.

-Sunday, March 15th at 12:00 PM : THE SOUND OF MUSIC “Musical”. With singer María Sabater.

-Sunday, May 10th at 12:00pm : A GREAT CONCERT FOR EVERYONE.

In the first concert, MUSIC AND INSTRUMENTS OF THE WORLD , a musical journey will be made through all the instruments of the orchestra, their possibilities, as well as the interpretation of characteristic works in which the composer has clearly expressed his musical idea (Vivaldi's Seasons, etc.). With this concert, the public will approach the instruments and the music in an easy and, at the same time, profound way.

The second, THE SOUND OF MUSIC “Musical”, is a concert for the whole family that tells a beautiful story about the famous film The Sound of Music, incorporating a magnificent selection of its most popular songs .

In the final concert, A FANTASTIC CONCERT FOR EVERYONE , we'll take an exciting journey through iconic works, from short opera excerpts to danceable pieces like waltzes and marches, culminating in a popular repertoire that will effortlessly evoke moments from our everyday lives. Younger attendees will even have the opportunity to actively participate in a concert for the whole family.

José F. Sánchez highlighted the positive impact of this project on bringing music to people of all ages, including children, and the excellent state of the Francisco Casanovas Association, which boasts over 300 members, the support of several sponsors, especially the main sponsor MPC-Group, the honorary presidency and direction of Maestros Zubin Mehta and Enrique García Asensio, the exhibition "A Life Like a Movie" whose next destination is Barcelona, and finally, the preparation of commemorative events for the 40th anniversary of Maestro Casanovas's death, which will be announced soon.
