Torrevieja City Council awards the drafting of five projects for the Vega Renhace Plan
The Torrevieja City Council has approved in the Local Governing Board the awarding of five contracts for the drafting of construction projects included in the Vega Renhace Plan, for a total amount of €481,870, intended to improve the rainwater drainage network and flood protection in the municipality.
The contracts, processed through an open procedure subject to harmonized regulation, include an execution period of eight months and an additional 20-month period of technical assistance.
The awarded projects are as follows:
Lot 1 – Los Balcones Collector
Awardee company: Vielca Ingenieros, SA
Amount: €237,402.00 (VAT included)
Lot 2 – Juan Mateo Rambla Collector
Awarded company: UTE Prevecons–OFI 208–Imecapi
Amount: €48,448.12 (VAT included)
Lot 3 – Rainwater collection Punta de la Víbora
Awarded company: UTE Prevecons–OFI 208–Imecapi
Amount: €50,118.76 (VAT included)
Lot 4 – Stormwater collector Limonar Zone
Awarded company: UTE Prevecons–OFI 208–Imecapi
Amount: €50,118.76 (VAT included)
Lot 5 – Roentgen collectors
Awarded company: UTE Prevecons–OFI 208–Imecapi
Amount: €95,782.50 (VAT included)
In all cases, the calculation of the period may be interrupted when the projects must be submitted to the sectoral authorization procedures of other competent administrations.
The Councillor for Urban Planning, Sandra Sánchez, has welcomed this progress, stating that “with these projects we continue to take firm steps to provide Torrevieja with modern, efficient infrastructure adapted to the challenges of climate change. Our goal is to strengthen the municipality's drainage capacity and minimize the effects of torrential rains that have historically affected different areas of the city.”
He also emphasized that “planning and investment in stormwater drainage networks is essential to improving the quality of life for residents and ensuring the safety of our urban areas. This work is being carried out with technical rigor and in coordination between administrations to expedite its implementation as much as possible.”
