The 3rd "City of Torrevieja" World Cup of Football will be held on December 6th and 7th.

Last Saturday, November 29, the draw for the groups for the qualifying matches for the III World Cup of Football 'City of Torrevieja' was held in the press room of the "Tavi y Carmona" Sports Palace, organized by the Department of Coexistence and Integration, through the PANGEA Office and with the collaboration of the Department of Sports.

The following groups were obtained from the draw held among the 12 participating teams:

- Group A: Ecuador, Spain, Senegal and Poland.

- group B: Romania, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina,

- Group C: Ukraine, Morocco, Brazil and Colombia.

The Mundialito, to be held on the seven-a-side football pitches of the Sports Complex, will kick off on Saturday, December 6th at 9:15 a.m. with a parade and presentation of the teams, each accompanied by their respective anthems. This year, thanks to an initiative by the participating groups, the local organization Donaciones Torrevieja will have a stand collecting non-perishable food items for their Christmas campaign. During this first day of competition, attendees can support their teams and enjoy the qualifying matches, which will run until 10:00 p.m.

On Sunday, December 7th, the day's events will continue with the third and fourth place matches. The highly anticipated final is scheduled for 11:00 AM. Paraguay has been the winning team in previous editions.

The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and several councilors from the government team will attend the awards ceremony, which will take place from 12:30 pm, thus concluding this third edition of the 'City of Torrevieja' World Cup.
