Experience Christmas in Torrevieja: more than 40 plans to enjoy with your family
Torrevieja is ready for an unforgettable Christmas. The Councillor for Festivals, Commerce, Hospitality, and Tourism, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, has presented a program that combines festivities, tradition, commercial activity, family events, and spectacular shows. More than 40 events will bring life to every corner of Torrevieja and La Mata.
The campaign kicks off this Thursday, December 11th, with the beautification of shops and storefronts. The Department of Commerce will be distributing Christmas poinsettias to local businesses in Torrevieja and La Mata, as well as 30,000 personalized recycled bags to encourage local shopping.
The 22nd Christmas Window Display Competition is also underway, with more than 20 businesses participating to decorate their premises with magic and wonder.
A program to experience Christmas... in a big way!
From December 11th to January 5th, residents and visitors will enjoy a packed calendar of educational, cultural, musical, and festive activities for all ages. Here are some of the most anticipated events:
- December 20 → Christmas Afternoon , from 12:00pm, filling the pedestrian streets with atmosphere (Concepción with Darblade Photographers).
- December 21 → Christmas Drone Show (Dronlight Show) , on the Juan Aparicio promenade, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- December 23 and 24 → Santa's House in Torrevieja and La Mata , with letter delivery, entertainment and many surprises.
- December 23rd → Grand Santa Claus Parade , at 6:30 pm, with new magical themes: snowmen, unicorns, fairies, elves… and, of course, Santa Claus. Departure from the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center to the Municipal Theater.
- December 26 → Opening of the synthetic ice rink in Plaza Encarnación Puchol (La Mata) . Free access until January 1.
- December 27 → Oh! Marlene concert , at 10:00 pm, in the Plaza de la Constitución.
- December 30 →
• Children's San Silvestre race in La Mata, at 11:30 a.m.
• San Silvestre Nocturna Puerto de Torrevieja, in the afternoon at the Plaza de la Constitución.
- December 31 →
• Children's New Year's Eve at 12:00 in the Plaza de la Constitución.
• New Year's Eve celebration and chimes at 00:00h.
- January 3 and 4 → Royal Campout: the Three Kings will collect letters in Torrevieja and La Mata, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- January 5th → The grand Three Kings Parade, starting at 4:30 pm, will bring Christmas 2025 to a close.
