This coming Sunday, December 14th, at 6:30 pm, the 6th Family Theater Cycle “Theater for Everyone” continues at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Center with the world premiere of “Hansel and Gretel, the Musical.” From here, they will embark on a tour of countless performances throughout Spain, but they have chosen our city as their first venue for audiences. Come dance, laugh, and sing along with another “Theater for Everyone” show—this time a musical! As you know, at least once a month, children and adults alike can enjoy performances full of messages and values such as environmentalism, friendship, respect, love, art, culture, and lots of fun. Recommended for ages 5-6 and up.

Synopsis:

The forest is enchanted and now it no longer provides enough. Families are forced to wander aimlessly in search of food. The situation becomes unbearable, and parents are compelled to abandon their children in the woods, begging for its protection. The Forest Spirit is weakened by the enchantment and can only whisper words in the ears of these poor abandoned children. Deep in the forest, Hansel and Gretel find a fantastic house, filled with chocolate, sweets, music, and fun—the house of a charming witch who will make them dance, have fun, and grow fat, fat, and fat…
